Project

Wi‑Fi modernization and network audit at the QIWI office

Connectum upgraded QIWI’s office to Wi‑Fi 6, then diagnosed and resolved brief client disconnections through firmware and configuration changes.

Ruckus Wi-Fi network audit and troubleshooting at the QIWI office

Site

QIWI’s corporate office covers 2,700 m². Employees use the wireless network in their daily work.

Two project stages

In the first stage, Connectum audited coverage, supplied Ruckus equipment and completed commissioning, upgrading the infrastructure to 802.11ax (Wi‑Fi 6). The team later returned to diagnose brief connection drops that occurred despite good coverage.

Diagnostics

  • Analyzed the controller and access point configuration;
  • Ran extended tests on the affected access point in an isolated environment;
  • Identified a parameter that caused brief session interruptions;
  • Updated the controller and access point firmware;
  • Adjusted the configuration and retested the network.

Results

The intermittent connection drops were traced to the software configuration. Following the updates and configuration changes, repeat testing confirmed stable client sessions.
