New PMS Integrations: InterHotel Management, Logus HMS, and Sonata

Connectum’s guest Wi‑Fi authentication system now integrates with three additional property management systems: InterHotel Management, Logus HMS, and Sonata.

New PMS Integrations: InterHotel Management, Logus HMS, and Sonata

A property management system (PMS) supports the day-to-day operation of hotels, health resorts, and hostels. It may run on premises or in the cloud and performs several key tasks:

Automates reservations across sales channels, including the hotel website, booking.com, ostrovok.ru, and Yandex Travel;

Supports check-in: reception staff register guests, issue electronic keys, and maintain guest profiles;

Tracks room inventory and status: vacant or occupied, cleaned or awaiting cleaning, available or under maintenance;

Manages finances, rates, revenue records, and reporting, including occupancy and revenue per available room (RevPAR).

Almost every hotel department therefore uses the PMS: front office, marketing and sales, IT and, of course, the general manager.

PMS plays an important role in the management of guest services, so it is always integrated with various third-party systems:

  • Telephone systems for guest call billing;
  • Electronic locks so that issued cards provide access to the correct room;
  • Hotel television for welcome messages, room service, and personalized content;
  • Wi‑Fi authentication for access using a room number and surname.

Connectum’s authentication system is designed for hospitality, with PMS integration as a core function. It now supports three more systems: InterHotel Management, Logus HMS, and Sonata.

Hotel 3 by InterHotel Management is an established Russian platform serving more than 400 boarding houses and health resort complexes. Its pilot integration with Connectum was deployed at Voronovo Health Resort, part of Russia’s Ministry of Economic Development, where Connectum installed Wi‑Fi and hotel television.

Logus HMS is developed by Libra Hospitality, which has worked in hospitality automation in Russia and the CIS for over 25 years. Its customers include hotel chains, independent hotels, health resorts, and hostels. The pilot with Connectum was at the Peter I Hotel, where we built Wi‑Fi and enabled guest identification using the reservation code as the personal Wi‑Fi password.

Sonata is a Russian cloud PMS from HRS, formerly a distributor of the widely used Opera/Fidelio platform. The pilot integration was at Safmar Palace Moscow, formerly Sheraton Palace Moscow. Connectum built the hotel’s wireless infrastructure and provides it as a subscription service that includes Wi‑Fi access management.

The integration allows the Connectum system to use guest data in the identification process when connecting to a Wi‑Fi network. The procedure for providing access for communication services is determined, in particular, by the decrees of the Government of the Russian Federation dated December 31, 2021 No. 2606 and No. 2607.

PMS data also supports differentiated service. For example, gold-tier loyalty members may be offered higher connection speeds.

Tiered service can also monetize access through free basic-speed Wi‑Fi and paid higher-speed options for a guest-selected number of days.

Where PMS integration is too costly, Connectum offers mobile-number verification by call or a code delivered by SMS, push notification, or messenger, as well as service accounts such as Sber ID, MTS ID, and Gosuslugi (Russia’s public services portal).
